Celebrity hair-colourist Josh Wood lends his name to the new Claridge’s Spa
Josh Woods is, apparently, THE name in celebrity hair. I’ll take their word for it – all my head needs these days is a spray of polish and a buff with a soft cloth. But moving on…
For those of you with hair who care about such things, Josh Woods is now bringing his celebrated creativity and expertise to the celebrated Claridge’s to create what is undoubtedly going to a very celebrated spa.
Remarkably, Josh Woods at Claridge’s is the hotel’s first foray into such wellness activities. Located three floors down, Claridge’s Spa will be a haven of tranquillity featuring the hotel’s first ever swimming pool, steam rooms, sauna and seven treatments rooms, in a space that’s Japanese in inspiration, and designed by interior architect Andre Fu.
And then there’s Josh Wood at Claridge’s, a dedicated hair and beauty space, featuring just two chairs, to ensure the sort of personal service you’d expect from Mr Wood, and offering a tailored menu of best-in-class hairstyling and beauty services, spanning hair, nails and beauty, and colour and makeup on request.
“This new space is not about the usual volume in a salon, but moreover about getting every strand right,” explained Woods, pun probably entirely intended. “The best of the best, there’s nothing that’s too much to ask.”
