Anantara Veli Maldives Resort is hosting a series of Michelin-starred dinners

Anantara Veli is what the Maldives is all about, if you ask us. Luxury, adults only, reachable via 30 minute speed boat ride from Male International Airport…

Following an extensive redesign from New York-based designer Yuji Yamazaki, the hotel is now applying similar levels of decadent luxury to its already impressive dining programme, with a series of dinners headed up by British-born Michelin-starred chefs.

The series kicked off with Gary Foulkes of London’s Angler restaurant, and continues with two British chefs who are cooking up a storm in Singapore, with Steve Lancaster of Poise on September 29 and Lewis Barker of Sommer, on October 18.

The dinners are held in the atmospheric wine cellar of Anantara Veli’s Japanese restaurant, Origami, using fresh seasonal and locally sourced ingredients from the Maldives. After the meal, appropriately enough given the location, guests will enjoy after dinner drinks with the chefs. Guests will also have the chance to join an exclusive cooking class with Steve or Lewis the day before their dinners.
