Ain’t to proud to Ardbeg…
It’s summer time. It’s Britain. We’re going to go out and cook things over fire.
Look. It’s what we do, it’s who we are.
As a break from cold beer or a glass of rose, Ardbeg have a suitably smoky suggestion as to what you should quaff with your ‘que. And actually, a good peaty single malt should be a fine choice, even if it doesn’t seem the obvious one, a state of affairs that Ardbeg appear to acknowledge in their naming of their new, limited edition, barbecue-influenced single malt: the BizarreBQ.
It’s a first for the Distillery and, we’d suggest, pretty much any distillery.
The BBQ-friendly profile is part of an ongoing collaboration between Ardbeg’s Director of Whisky Creation, Dr Bill Lumsden and DJ BBQ, and is a result of double-charred oak casks – including a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask – creating a combination of sweet, tangy and savoury notes
The Bizarre BQ (50.9% ABV) is available to purchase online for £75 from Ardbeg’s website and whisky specialists The Whisky Exchange and Master of Malt.
