You’ve seen The Wave. You’ve seen The Sailboat. Here comes The Superyacht…

Dubai is not known for its sense of moderation so it probably comes as no surprise that Jumeirah Group – the behind the wave-shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and the sailboat-inspired Burj Al Arab Jumeirah – are adding a third hotel.

The superyacht-inspired Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will be located at the tip of the peninsula at the heart of Dubai’s largest private beach, completes the “oceanic trilogy” in suitably luxurious style.

According to Jose Silva, CEO of Jumeirah Group, “Creating truly exceptional experiences in unmatched physical spaces that are designed for energy and redefine luxury, is a core part of our vision.”

All we know is it’s shaped like a superyacht, is designed by acclaimed Dubai architect Shaun Killa, will have 386 rooms and suites, four penthouses, four pools, 83 luxury hotel apartment suites, is set amid landscaped gardens, signature restaurants, “specially integrated wellness and leisure destinations”, 3500 square metres of spa and fitness facilities, and offer views over the Arabian Sea – in some cases from 11-metre wide floor-to-ceiling balcony windows or, indeed, retractable floor-to-ceiling glass walls.
