Beautiful, inspired and tasteful luggage collection chooses brilliant name for high-end range.

On 25th May 1947, Ferrari won their first race on a Roman circuit around the historic baths of Emperor Caracalla. It was down to this, the man’s obvious love for the sport, and his appreciation of fine craftsmanship, that lead Simon Jordan to create what is now a very attractive company. Caracalla 1947 specialises in producing handmade Italian leather goods inspired by the world of motorsport. With several ranges, including Commemorative, Classica and the soon-to-be-released and brilliantly-titled Lusso, there’s an awful lot of good stuff on offer.

Paying homage to the greatest drivers, colours and marques of the racing world, the Commemorative Collection is a must have for any super fan. The holdall is perfect for a weekend away and was designed with much care and enthusiasm by Jordan himself. The Classica, as the name suggests, is a traditional design, made from the same high-quality leather in classic, naturally-tanned colours. We’ve got our eye on the Cognac Document Case, which we’re pretty sure would look great holding our work essentials. We’re particularly excited about the Lusso Collection, and not only because of its great name. Made using only the softest shoulder-leather available, the designs encapsulate Tuscan craftsmanship and heritage. Just like this magazine. Taking a wonderful hint from the sophistication of the Ferrari 250GT, these are seriously beautiful bags. Caracalla 1947 design their leather goods to grow old gracefully, and they will. Unfortunately, we probably won’t.
