And Diageo release their latest Elusive Expressions Special Releases Scotch Whisky Collection.
Hand-selected by Master Blender Dr. Craig Wilson, The Elusive Expressions is a collection of eight aged and finely finished whiskies that deliver rarity, flavour and, it says here, “fantasy to capture the curiosity of today’s whisky explorers.”
Or, we suspect, to be put somewhere safe and sold at a profit in a few years time.
This year’s releases come from some of Scotland’s oldest whisky dynasties, a cask-strength collection that experiments with extended secondary maturation techniques and new cask finishes, such as Tawny Port and Red Muscato.
This year’s release also comes with a Cocktails and Serves book, in the spirt of a graphic novel, to reflect the somewhat unconventional style of the packaging. Prices start at £105 per bottle and are available from independent retailers and the Malts.com website.
