The horned-hypercar, the Harrier and His Excellence.

When you’re organising the world premiere of a legendary megacar like the £3.5 million Lamborghini Veneno Roadster you probably just need the car and some fancy spotlights, right?

Nope, apparently what you actually need is a 240m Italian warship to plonk it on and a Harrier Jump Jet to act as the backdrop. Then throw in His Excellency Giorgio Starace, the Italian Ambassador to the UAE, and Admiral of High Seas Forces, Paolo Treu, with Elena Bonelli singing the Italian national anthem and top fashion designer Giada Curti accompanied by some leggy models.

The road-legal and roofless Veneno is one of the rarest to come out of the Sant’Agata Bolognese HQ, with only nine units being built. It’s arrow-shaped front and shark-like fin bring new meaning to superior downforce. Killer aerodynamics mean that 0-100 km/h takes just 2.9 seconds and its top speed peaks at 355 km/h. But then you’d expect nothing less from a car that takes it’s name from one of the most aggressive bulls in history. Hypercars, bullfighting, jets and warships: anything less than firing the next model into outer space just isn’t going to cut it.
