Gulfstream 650ER Sets 662mph Private Jet World Record
Everyone’s favourite private jet, the Gulfstream G650ER recently set two huge world records, whilst circumnavigating the globe – only stopping once.
The G650ER took off from White Plains, New York, with three passengers and four crew members on board, then flew nearly 8,000 miles eastbound to Beijing at an average speed of 662 miles per hour (mach 0.87) completing the flight in 13 hours and 20 minutes. The aircraft then continued eastbound for another 7,500 miles to Savannah (Georgia, USA) taking only 12 hours.
Current Gulfstream 650 owners can get the ER (Extended Range) upgrade retrofitted by contacting Gulfstream. Don’t have one yet? Perhaps the video below can help convince you it’s a great idea.
