30 Weeks, 52 Stars, 25 Chefs

Not to mention 30 years. VILA VITA Parc knows how to celebrate an anniversary.

Anything that’s lasted 30 years deserves a party. At Portuguese clifftop resort VILA VITA Parc, they’ve just gone a little further than opening a bottle of champagne or booking a nice restaurant. They’ve organised some of the world’s leading chefs to visit.

The hotel turned 30 in April and, until November – 30 weeks, see what they did there? – they’re hosting a series of exceptional events, covering the worlds of art, culture, wellness, lifestyle and, particularly, gastronomy.

While the hotel itself offers everything from casual, beach-side dining and Portuguese tapas, to its own two Michelin-starred fine dining at Ocean Restaurant, VILA VITA Parc have recruited 25 chefs from Portugal and across the world, with a remarkable 51 stars between them, to take part in events across the year.

These include a Reach For The Stars Dinner on June 19th, where 10 chefs, each with three Michelin Stars, will combine for the tasting menu of all tasting menus. Chefs participating include Belgium’s Gert de Mangeleer (of Hertog Jan), Spain’s Paolo Casagrande (of Lesarte), Julien Royer of Singapore’s Odette) and Peter Knogl of Cheval Blanc in Switzerland. Later in the year, there will also be similar events dedicated to Asian food and chefs, and one focusing on sustainability.

There are too many things to list here but full details can be found – but of course – at the hotel’s website.
