One of the world’s best pastry chefs is coming to London

At some point in early 2022 – we can’t be more specific because, well, you know – Cedric Grolet will be coming to The Berkeley in London’s Knightsbridge.

Who he? He great pastry chef, that who he.

Famed for his culinary ‘trompe-l’œil’ – where his patisserie genius is used to create optical illusions (not to mention generate two million Instagram followers) – this venture, his first outside of France, will bring together two of the chef’s patisserie signatures: his Fruit creations, and his celebrated Flowers.

The patisserie will be position on Knightsbridge, overlooking Hyde Park. Customers will be able to sit in – it’s a 60-seater space – or takeaway or, indeed, watch the master at work: there are eight immersive seats overlooking the kitchen.

“Opening in London is a monumental event for me,” says Grolet. “It is such a special city and its energy completely inspires me.  I can’t wait to open… and share with the capital the result of mixing my two universes for the very first time.’
