The newly opened Churchill Bar & Terrace on Portman Square was certainly designed with a young Churchill in mind. Guests are invited to enjoy a menu of fine cigars and cocktails on the glamorous private terrace until the early hours.
The bar serves its own Churchill Craft Gin (what else!) with house made tonics, as well as classic British cocktails using only the best spirits. The Trafalgar Sour, with its greengage and pear liquors balanced with apple juice and fresh lemon, is positively mouth-watering, and the Ale Flip, complete with a goose egg, is most intriguing and dates back to 1695. Cigars are supplied by Hunters & Frankau, and are bound to please even the most refined cigar connoisseur.
With references to the man himself throughout the property, the design is contemporary and classic. The Churchill Bar & Terrace is located in West London’s Hyatt Regency, and is well worth a visit.
