So many Michelin 3 star restaurants, and so little time to eat in them. You could just do it in one go. All you need is six months and £182,000 apparently.

The ultimate foodies pilgrimage has just been created – a visit to every Michelin 3 star restaurant in the world (all 107 of them), spanning 12 countries across the globe, on a trip that lasts an entire six months.

Visiting one tastebud-thrilling restaurant every other day, you and your dining partner will have a bit of time to take in the local sights and then enjoy some spectacular Michelin 3 star dining, whilst in being immersed in total luxury – travelling business class and staying at the best hotels in the world including Trump International (New York); Conrad (Tokyo): Hotel De Paris (Monte Carlo) and Claridge’s (London). The long list of restaurants include Lung King Heen (Hong Kong); Sushi Yoshitake (Tokyo); Per Se (New York) and Meurice (Paris).

As for the culinary highlights, you can look forward to the ‘Salmon Poached in a Liquorice Gel’ at experimental chef Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck in England, the delicacies of legendary chef Alain Ducasse in Monaco, and Arzak’s ‘Pineapple Bubbles’ in the mountainous Basque country.

Inventors of the trip are websites holidaysplease.co.uk and VeryFirstTo.com (the same people responsible for creating the Ultimate Human Holiday, a visit to every World Heritage site over 2 years for £960,000 per couple). Marcel Knobil, Founder of VeryFirstTo, said; “I have little doubt that this is the most saliva-inducing and taste bud satisfying journey in the history of travel.”

Don’t forget to bring your appetite. And maybe an elasticated waistband.

The cost includes organisation of: travel, accommodation and restaurant reservations; and costs of flights; hotel rooms and meals at the Michelin restaurants. The meal costs have been estimated at an average of £250/ head including house wine. The couple will pay the restaurants directly and the meal cost will obviously depend upon what has been ordered. The list of 107 Michelin 3 star restaurants has been collated by the VeryFirstTo research team and is the full list of current Michelin 3 star restaurants globally to its knowledge. A donation of £1,500 will be made to charity The Prince’s Trust, that helps change young lives, once the trip is purchased.
