Henley Royal Regatta, the international rowing event famed for its riverside ritz and champagne-fuelled shenanigans, is nearly upon us. But it’s not all about sculls and oars. To counter any concerns that Henley isn’t public school enough, it’s also the best place outside of Australia to watch the biggest match of the 2013 Lions tour, as the rugger crowd drop-kick their way into the middle of the boating action.

Saturday 6th July: the JuJu hospitality enclosure at UTRC Henley Royal Regatta, Upper Thames Enclosure – the place to be for some rugby-charged antics and a viewing of the third and final test at an exclusive brunch.

In the presence of International and Lions legends – Lee Mears, James Haskell, Mike Tindall, Chris Robshaw, James Hamilton and Tom Varndell (to name drop a few), be ready to watch as many rib-shattering tackles and Hail Mary passes as you can handle.

Brunch and the live match action will be washed down with flutes of the bubbly stuff supplied by Champagne house Veuve Clicquot (helpfully punctuated with the match analysis, to aid your decision when placing your complimentary BetVictor bets). As if that wasn’t blood-pumping enough, the day will be compered by the lovely ITV presenter Zoe Hardman, and rounded off by some DJing from Seb Fontaine.

The best part is that all proceeds will be valiantly donated to the Alzheimer’s Society, so you can pick up that odd-shaped ball and run with it, because it’s all for charity. For table sales contact tracey@olliephillips.com.
