Don’t take our word for it, take Michelin’s…

Gusto by Sadler, the restaurant at the Baglioni Resort Sardinia has been awarded a Michelin star. A hell of an achievement, frankly, for a restaurant, and resort, that only opened in June 2021.

The hotel group, which boasts three hotels in Italy’s finest art cities – Florence, Venice and Rome – and one in Kensington, has three resorts: the Baglioni Resort Sardinia, plus ones at Punta Ala, Tuscany, and on Maagau island in the Maldives.

The restaurant, founded by chefs Claudio Sadler and Giorgio Pignagnoli, focuses on light, Mediterranean-style cuisine, using local ingredients to create, in their words, “works of edible art”. For the record, Gusto sous chef Gennaro Balice will be moving imminently to Canova by Sadler, which opens at the Baglioni Hotel Luna in Venice in 2022. And, we assume, wins its first star shortly after. No pressure, Gennaro. No pressure…
