Over the last decade or so, Britain’s sparkling wine industry has gone from strength to strength. One of those leading the way is Kent’s Gusbourne Estate which, as well as striving to create the world’s finest sparkling wines – well, you might as well aim high, right? – continues to celebrate British sparkling wine as a perfect pairing to food.

Over the last three years, Gusbourne has invited some of the UK’s finest chefs to collaborate on unique pairing dinners, with names such as Josh Egglestone (of Bristol’s Pony & Trap) and Trinity’s Adam Byatt getting involved. This year, attention turns to Tom Kerridge’s two Michelin-starred The Hand & Flowers and, on Friday 27th August, Tom’s head chef Jamie May will be serving a The Hand & Flowers Head Chef, Jamie May, will be serving a specially crafted three course menu of beautiful, seasonal food at Gusbourne Estate, paired with some of the vineyard’s finest bottles.

“Everything we do at The Hand & Flowers is driven by creating a once in a lifetime experience for our customers,” explains Jamie, “and so much of dining is influenced by the environment. Gusbourne vineyard is the perfect backdrop for us to bring British flavours together. It will be a fantastic day for those lucky enough to join us…and for us too.”
